Services and Rules
The library is open to the general public. To borrow books you need a library borrower's card. To obtain a borrower's card you must fill in an application form and show a valid ID-card. When you sign the application form you agree to follow the Library Regulations.
Retrieval and Ordering Instructions
You can search and locate books, journals or articles in the library catalogues. You can order publications at the Circulation Desk (on request forms) or in the catalogue VITALIS and the Katalog -1974 The requested books and journals will be delivered by library staff according to the schedule. See: 'Retrieval of ordered material'.
You can only order loans from the catalogue VITALIS if you have a valid and updated library borrower's card.

Loan Period
The Loan Period is 30 days. This period is guaranteed even if the book is requested by another person.
Reserved books and journals remain reserved for 7 days.
For Reference Use Only
- Periodicals
- Books published before 1920
- Books published after 1920 that are considered especially valuable because of rarity
- Reference books
- CD-ROM and video films
Interlibrary Loans
When there is a charge for an Interlibrary Loan, the borrower is required to pay that charge. The lending library´s rules apply for books on interlibrary loan.
Interlibrary Loans are charged according to the loan expenses. The Patron is always informed in advance.

Loan renewal
You can renew your loans yourself in VITALIS. Please note that this is not possible if the book already is ordered by another person.
Instructions
- Log in yourself and go to 'Dina lån'
- Choose the loan you want to renew and you get more information
- To take action and renew, click on button 'förnya'.
It is also possible to renew your loan if you contact the library.
