Digitisation guidelines and agreements
Below is information about general guidelines and agreements which can help you when digitising 3D models.
Start by planning your work and drawing up an agreement with the other party, which clearly describes and regulates the rights to all material that is being produced. The agreement should be drawn up, regardless of whether the work is done internally or externally.
Producing 3D models is time and labour intensive, and requires skills and experience for a good final result. The necessary expertise is often not found internally.
Before an external party begins their work:
• Agree on the purpose of producing the 3D models and discuss the options with the intended external party.
• Draw up an agreement, before work begins, which clearly regulates the rights to all materials being produced in the process.
